Austin Wyrick

I got to visit sweet little Austin today. His grandpaw is in the hospital, so his mom let him stay with his great Meemaw (next door to me) while she went to visit. Therefore I was fortunate to get to hold him a little while. He was due to be born around now, but was born a month ago. He is doing very well, and as you can see, is very cute.

Christmas Bokeh?

I thought I would use our Christmas tree lights to try
and learn about bokeh and manual settings. This is
what I came up with.

Christopher and Megan Burrow!

We headed out for a long drive to Florence, SC for my nephew,
Christopher Burrow's wedding. Some sleeping and movie
watching helped pass the travel time.

Madeline did very well for such long rides. Of course, snacks,
drinks and a little Elmo helped her too!

We arrived in time to enjoy the rehersal dinner. Here are
Darrel and Cindy, parents of the groom.

Madeline is already for the wedding. However,
she didn't really get to go in to the ceremony. She did enjoy
the great reception though.

Cindy was a beautiful mother of the groom!

Madeline's First Birthday!

Naomi and I had fun making a cake for Madeline.

I think Madeline was a little surprised to see fire in
front of her.

Madeline was happy to have a lot of friends help her
celebrate!

She got her own special chair that matches her Mommy's.

And then it was time to clean up after a fun party day.

Thanksgiving

We had another wonderful Thanksgiving in Troutville!
Madeline enjoyed being outside very much.

She had a little trouble getting aquainted with all the new people.
However she enjoyed a little game of "This Little Piggy" with
Popeye.

Nathaniel raked a pile of leaves for the children to jump in.
They had a great time.

There was a large group for dinner. About 31. Then later
34 total people.

After dinner we all enjoyed a time of sharing some
thankfulness.
